The ac unit cover does seem to make a difference. Our yard is very sandy. This cover can help prolong the life a bit of your unit. Especially if you live in the northern regions as it has a top cover to keep snow from entering the top of the unit. Worth it. Make sure to measure first.

My unit runs perfectly well with it on. the mesh ac cover allows air flow while keeping leaves debris and bees away from the fan and motor. It comes with a solid waterproof top that I will put on by Velcro during the winter months and it keeps snow or ice from entering the unit. I like its 2-in-1 design that save my money and is easy to use or install.

While it doesn't address every concern, such as yard undergrowth, the material it's made from is splendid against forces of nature. While instructions are lacking, installation is so simple that it doesn't need such, in my opinion.
This is worth investing in if you want to avoid your air contontioning unit from weather damage, and I highly recommend the product for others to use.

I used to cover my air conditioner outside unit with a blanket bu that blocks air circulation ,keeps the water retained and speeds up rust .So at the recommendation of ac guy ,we got this product ,the mesh cover will allow air circulation so it also can be used during hot summer ,and to reduce cottonwood and leaf build up ,I can install the waterproof top on the upcoming snowstorm days so i dont have to go out and clear the outside machine every day

The product came on time and seems nice. The photos make the top seem more sturdy but is loose. The item has no instructions so I needed to look through other products to realize the open section must go where the hoses come out and you need to remove the drawstring clip in order to get around the hoses. I think every product that needs to be assembled or put on should COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS!!

The top piece is designed to accomodate a/c units with an extra inch or so space in both width and depth as compared to the stated dimensions. Additionally, besides the velcro fasteners the top piece also has a draw string built in so the top can be used without the wrap around mesh piece being installed.

First time having a home with central AC and this fall I asked friends who have it if they covered the unit for the winter. The key was not to let moisture develop inside and when I saw this it seemed to fit the bill. Waterproof on the top but let’s air circulate around the sides with mesh. Got a first snow last night so will have to see how it does overall when I remove it next Spring. It was very easy to install and the fit adjustable to my AC unit. Good quality materials.
