Peaches
Got this to cover my chicken run to keep them cool in the summer sun. Works great!!! Much cooler and it let’s the rain through so I don’t have to keep taking it down.

I bought this to put over my small, enclosed back porch. I was looking for one of the sturdier, heavy duty type tarps but they didn't come in the size I needed. I was pleasantly surprised that it has survived our very hot summer and high winds without a hitch. I also provides a nice level of shade; not completely shaded, but cools down our very hot summer sun. I can let the pups out on the porch for a few minutes of fresh air without worrying that they will be too hot or burn their feet on the hot patio concrete surface.

It’s hotter than the welcome gates of hell in Texas right now and my garden was FRYING in the afternoon. Using clips, metal fence posts and our sodden fence, I attached this like a retractable lean-to that I can roll out to shade the plants when the sun is at its angriest. Working like a champ!

As some reviewers have said, the fabric is a little "light" or "fragile". I agree, but that also makes for easier handling (especially important during installation if on a ladder), and it allows gusts of wind to pass through without turning the canopy into a sail. Because the canopy fabric is a little "fragile" you shouldn't let it rest against any hard or sharp edges (metal, wood, plastic). Soften or round any hard or rough edges the canopy might come in contact with, and consider placing a soft, buffer material between any hard edge and the canopy fabric itself. The "shadow" that is cast by the canopy definitely reduces the temperature. When in the shadow it feels like a cloudy day. The plants get more than enough UV rays under the canopy (they only need ~10% of the UV rays generated by the sun, and this canopy filters ~60-75%). All in all I'm very pleased with this canopy, and if you treat it with care, I think you too will like it.

My veggies were so happy after being shaded this summer.

Works for us! Worth the money. I was so pleased about this shader that I have 2 more on the way!

Have a small greenhouse covered with 4ml clear greenhouse plastic. Between 11am and 3pm the temperature has gone up to 136 degrees. it is cloudy today. This cover brought the temp down to 90-105degrees. some sun can still filter in. it was very easy to put on. it is flexible, durable and light weight.
Gramma Peaches
Very light weight. Reinforced edges, with grommets along all 4 edges. Grommets on corners have stronger reinforcements. I'm very pleased; good quality for the price.
Our summers are 100+ and extremely dry. Gets hotter up on the terrace in my garden than at ground level. My babies on the terrace are whispering, "Thanks, mom!" I added an extra shade to protect my sensitive squash plants from the hot western sun.
